InterVarsity Press and the Tyndale Fellowship's Study Group in Philosophy of Religion are pleased to announce this year's 'Young Philosopher of Religion' competition. Submissions for the competition are now open and are due by November 10th 2017. This annual prize is administered by the Tyndale Fellowship Philosophy of Religion Study Group and is sponsored by InterVarsity Press.

The Prizes will be book prizes to the value of:
1st Prize: £250
2nd Prize: £150
3rd Prize: £100.
The winner will be named 'IVP Young Philosopher of Religion 2017'. Entries from scholars under 32 years of age should be between 2,000 and 4,000 words in length and should be submitted, electronically, to the Secretary of the group, Dr. Joseph Diekemper (email@example.com) not later than Friday November 10th, 2017. Books must be purchased from IVP books.
The winner will also be named 'IVP Young Philosopher of Religion 2017'.
Submissions must be between 2,000 & 4,000 words and will be assessed on
professional Philosophy benchmarks, including:
_Display of a questioning intelligence_
_Ability to engage critically with ideas_
_Clarity in making relevant distinctions_
_Ability to construct reasoned arguments_
_Ability to evaluate arguments critically_
_Knowledge of the history of Philosophy and the Philosophy of Religion_
Essays must be written in English and submitted electronically as either
a Word Document or PDF to Dr Joseph Diekemper (firstname.lastname@example.org) by
midnight on Friday November 10th 2017.
